❓ As part of my “Ask Me Anything” series, I want to answer Jason’s question: “Where do you stand on all these Vape, Barber and small convenience shops that are always empty but stay in business due to being a front for money laundering?”

🗣️ I agree this is a huge problem. I have been concerned for some time about the rise in the number of vape shops and barbers, in plain view on our high streets, and the organised crime that may be behind them.

🏛️ I am launching an Inquiry into Organised Crime in Bassetlaw and I want to hear from as many people as possible. I want to get to the bottom of what is happening here, and I will leave no stone unturned as I search for answers.

👥 The inquiry panel will be made up of local community leaders and we will hear evidence from local police, councils, and local business owners. I will use this evidence to push for action from government.

📩 I want to invite all residents and local businesses to share their views and experiences with me. Please email me at [email protected]

😊 It was great to meet Bassetlaw constituents, Keeley and her sisters, Charlotte and Ocean in Parliament yesterday. They spoke at an inquiry which is looking into the Human Rights of Children in the Social Care System in England.

💛 Keeley is a kinship carer who looks after her sisters. She knows how hard the system can be, and only by listening to people like Keeley, can we learn and make things better for children in the future.
